He was a cut throat gym leader who had to take care of all his brothers and sisters and s*** and then he became a pokemon breeder/care taker and then started studying to become a Pokémon dr. Brock is a healer and a caretaker. Demonstrated by how he cooked all the meals for not only the people in the group but all the Pokémon too.
