How do I improve this beat switch. The singing sounds so grand and haunting. I'm legit onto something with this sound.

Getting some love. These r just demos still too.

you asked if i heard a toronto sound in your tracks before

i hear it now. with this one.

also for the beat switch what were you looking for? because immediately i was expecting it to slow down from the more high energy drill drums to a consistent haltime tempo with the same vibe.

think that one don toliver track Around Me on metro's newest album. whole song is a steady up tempo beat until 1:36

Oh yeah man. Thursday is my favorite album ever. I'm trying very hard to nkt bite though but create my own take on that sound in a new way. Drill drums make.it slap too.

I know what tou mean tho. Good ear On this older stuff he usually ended his notes either pull them up or down at the ends of each line. I do it a lot more straight. If thst makes any sense lol

Like when you stretch the ends of the verses I don't sing higher or lower most times I keep the same note. This gives a more empty, numb/cold sound to it.

Abels the reason I started making music.

he's one of my inspirations as well. Though I'm a bigger fan of his recent stuff like after hours and dawn fm

your first move is to either get in a studio or get a mic man. It would take your s*** to the next level.

My plan is, write rough drafts like these and then go record all vocals in studio with an engineer. I just want to have thse done so I don't waste money and studio time writing the songs. I write them better alone

BROTHER. what the f***kk. I love how you casually bot mentioning that you can do this s*** lol.

Bro this best thing I've heard from someone else on ktt. Ily played first one for now.

The first song production is amazing. Your flow and lyrics too. It sounds similar but unique. I loved it.

As some one who cant help but freestyle as u were rapping lol, I would just change a few slight things to take it even farther.

Maybe add layers to chorus so the song has time to rest before u go in again. Like differentiate the chorus sound and make.it.larger than the verses. I would add harmonies or adlibs too here and there.

But you for sure have potential here. It sounds unique and you can stay in key.

Thank you, bro. Yeah i been working on this for damn near a year. it's going to be apart of a future project when i get more funds, but for now I think i'm gonna leave it as is. I already released it, I was just debating whether or not to replace the mix.

As for harmonies, I'm still working on that s***. There's an art to forming them, I hear.

For me the more relaxed u are the better. Don't try to make one. Loop the beat and just go go go. No lurics humming. I did that for years. Like 5. Now I get on a beat and I can hear my sound and flow on the beat.

Before it felt like I was biting or trying to hard. Once you find ur full sound it becomes easier to do you on every beat.

Look at this for example. This me singing on Spanish guitar, no drill drums slamming.

Same character just a diff beat
