botw is obviously a good game, stop being a contrarian

im playing but i really f***ing despise the fact of botw being 60 bucks again just to look hardly better, i know, "just dont buy it", and thats if it even exists to begin with

It’s inevitable? Every 3d entry before it, OOT, majoras mask, windwaker, twilight Princess and skyward sword all have remasters/remakes.

    Doesn’t make it less stupid

Botw and totk were insanely limited by the switch, they deserve to really shine on something that’s 10-20x more powerful

    keep remasters / remakes plz

  • mario kart X, mp4 and legends ZA is a pretty good lineup, they covered all the bases

BOTW remaster is dumb as f*** and a cash grab. isnt the orignal gonna be playable on the switch 2? this is the same s*** as last of us 2 being remastered just to sell more copies

how about literally any main zelda game that isnt already playable on the switch

id f***ing kill for a switch OoT or WW

  • let alone an actual new mainline zelda game but i know that wont be for years

Original will definitely be playable on Switch 2. A BotW remaster isn't confirmed, just speculated based on reports that at some behind-the-scenes event they showed the Switch 2's capabilities sometime last year showing BotW in 4K 60FPS.

If they do end up releasing a remastered version of BotW I hope (but I don't expect) that they would go the same route as PS5 which lets you upgrade a PS4 game to the PS5 version for a much smaller amount of money if you already have the PS4 version. If you don't already have the game however you'll probably have to pay full price (and if you have a Switch but you don't happen to have BotW then you are a unicorn).

To justify an OLED version in 3 years

Sure but not for full price (which it will be)

I’d easily pay for an upgrade of my existing game like another poster has mentioned previously

id actually like to replay those. totk was incredible, but performance issues came up almost immediately

Might not be for full price, Sony offered $10 upgrade for some people for a lot of games, I could see Nintendo doing this too

Also wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of games get patched to run better instead of necessarily a new version. They could sell it in the new eshop as a switch game that’s “switch 2 boosted” with minimal work on their part.

I did not win raffle to try the switch 2 :(

  • If I could ask for something that wouldn't be too difficult I would. But I want the home button to be a shortcut to changing Pokémon moves in the latest games.
