Apr 2, 2023OakSo I have been doing DoorDash on the weekends to make some extra money for my expenses. I try to avoid the hood areas but last night I accidentally accepted a high-paying order from the hood late at night. The order was for a dozen sets of Krispy Kreme donuts.
As I exited off the highway I immediately noticed it was the hood but I couldn’t just unassign the order because it was too late. Once I started driving in the subdivision, these dudes on the sidewalk started eyeing my car and kept looking in my car to figure out who I was and where I was going. Plus my tinted windows didn’t help my case. I ended up passing the apartment and had to make a U-turn, but in the process of doing this, my actions caused the dudes to pull out guns from their trunks. I saw one dude holding a long gun(maybe an AK?) behind a car while the other dude was peeking at me waiting to give him the ok to shoot.
It wasn’t like they casually had them in their hand either. They had their fingers on the trigger prepared to open fire on me if I stopped. I didn’t even deliver the donuts, I sped off and got my ass back on the highway. I kept my composure but knowing my life could have been taken over by some donuts is crazy.
They got a whole system in DD for when you don’t feel safe delivering an order
