And yeah, competitive gaming to soothe anxiety is wild. It’s a good dopamine release to win, but what exactly happens if you get s*** on

Go again without being f***ed up

I want to, but I live in Florida. It was the one in St. Louis. Looking at pictures of the rides there actually gets me tight because it looks like such a fun time lmao

What works for me is just doing something that makes me extremely anxious, once I overcome that I have a great rest of the day.

Like the feeling you get after finishing a presentation. That feeling lasts the entire day and im way less anxious rest of the day

that’s the point though - it shifts your anxiety from illogical thought loops to a realized, explainable “anxiety” that ultimately has a resolution (match ending for example). also helps distract you from the original negative anxious thoughts

Nigga put in self pleasure & CoD before exercising ☠️

lmao yeah exercising is great for long term / if you can get to the gym, these are more “quick tips” in the heat of the moment

    Destimulating helps a lot
Instead of distracting yourself, sitting in silence doing nothing but dealing with the internal conflict helps

it’s more so to distract you from the original anxious thoughts

so while competitive gaming can get intense, you are moving that extra energy anxiety is providing you to something real in front of you, as opposed to your body having nothing to do with it, which creates the physical symptoms of anxiety

i agree, i recommend “self pleasure” over that. the s***while anxious only really works if you are EXTREMELY comfortable with your partner and aren’t worried about performing.

s***CAN help if it’s a baseline general anxiety issue, but with a full on anxiety attack, yeah it won’t work likely lol

this is very true as well. my phycologist gets me to do this when we meet

but it’s also very hard to do, so sometimes if it’s over bearing, distractions can help get you to a place where you can sit with it and work through it internally

Yes it’s very difficult but in the long term I believe it’s most beneficial
Coming to terms that the feelings are irrational and proving it to yourself gives a sense of liberation
