I played the first one on the GBA back in high school, thats it.

FF7 remake was the first game in the series I've played and the story barely makes any sense since it assumes you've already played the original.

The combat was good enough that I might check out other FFs

I’ve tried playing multiple of them but just never found any of them super compelling. The one I played the most was X-2 but hit a wall pretty far in and never beat it.

They make no attempt to explain wtf is happening in the last chapter to people who have never played the original.

I get that they want to leave stuff for the next games but the climax of the game reverses something that you don't even know happens and the only way to make sense of it is to look up spoilers for the original

The f*** u mean complete edition of 7 remake? Are you going to play it on the ps6? You realize each game is huge and a alternate timeline to the original game and a sequel and not a remake too right?

Its not in bits and pieces. Its an entire game. Its like saying you are waiting for the last of us 1 and 2 to be combined into one game

I'm not saying part 1 is a short game or incomplete somehow. But if a sequel to a game is announced before/at release, I'd wait for the sequel to drop before buying that game I'm not playing part 1, then waiting years to pick up again when the second one drops

That's just my preference. Of course SE might not even release a collection, in which case I'll just buy them all at once. But I'm not willing to wait years like yall are
