I feel like every release this decade has been polarizing some more than others but every project has a crowd of people screaming it’s mid with the biggest artist being Drake and him having the biggest crowd of people hating on his s***. But yeah it’s weird to see everyone be so opinionated and picky and negative about music all the time s*** is so strange to me.
As far as the big 3 are concerned I’ve pretty much liked everything with the exception of CLB which ain’t really click for me but I don’t think it’s ass or anything. I loved HNM, HL and I fw FATD too. It’s not perfect and it’s lacking in substance but it’s an extremely fun listen can’t understand the extreme levels of hate at all. I also loved MMTBS, s*** was amazing creatively and s*** was actually pretty deep not fake deep like the internet would have you believe. I also loved Off Season some of Cole’s best raps and flows and it was super concise and consistent can’t see how you like rap and don’t like that album like wtf is wrong with y’all lmao.
As far as other s*** that gets hated I loved WLR, def deserves the classic status it’s given imo, it’s not perfect but I fw Donda, loved CMIYGL, pretty much loved all Nas & Hits albums except for Magic 2, I liked most of yeats tapes… flow is dope and his production is flames
As far as this year I loved Pink tape, I thought Utopia was dope, fw both Gunna and Thugs projects, loved Micheal, loved Let’s Start Here, loved Dave & Cench idk I feel like I can keep naming s*** all day but yeah I like most things. I like seeing people be creative and live their dream and I really don’t understand all of the s*** y’all be trying to project onto everything
If anything the s*** I don’t like be the obscure s*** y’all claim is better than everything Lmaoo. Somebody gotta feel me man
you have something so precious & it needs protection. run away from this site as fast as you can

Yup Dawn FM, The Big Steppers, Utopia, For All The Dogs are def all great for me or at least good

Dawn FM is another one that caught hate love that project man s*** was fire
I don’t get people dawg
“If anything the s*** I don’t like be the obscure s*** y’all claim is better than everything Lmaoo” how do you contradict yourself this easily
I feel you, none of these albums you mentioned itt are bad and to be real the same ones that were running the game 10 years ago are still running it today. It really is the Ken Carsons of the world where I’m like wtf is the hype behind this
Agreed op. Donda, Off Season, MMBTS, Utopia, and Drakes last few projects have all been great.
I don’t think hiphop is dying per se, but I do feel like artists has veered more towards crafting great albums instead of making hot singles and having robust rollouts, which has lead to the illusion of rap not being as impactful

i got to that part and thought the same lmao
So you primarily like extremely mainstream things? I think that’s just most pop fans lol
This isn’t a site where you get much brownie points for being that type of listener, and I’m not saying it’s wrong to be like that. It’s just not a conducive environment if that’s your steez. You like what you like at the end of the day
Why did mods move this to Drake section tf
I mean it’s popping up in music still don’t worry
i got to that part and thought the same lmao
all he’s saying is that he sucks off any album with more than 200k first week sales and anything remotely strange weird experimental (mysterious music) is either boring and/or disturbed. he’s no better than the “haters” on this site

It’s the fans that’s killling this s*** bro
1)Super short ass attention spans
2)Everyone wants to be a troll
3)We are all overstimulated with entertainment all day long so our dopamine levels are shot and we don’t even realize it
Most people’s critique about rap now is that it’s very formulaic and safe, which generally leads to many people have a surface level enjoyment of those projects
I don’t know if there’s many rap projects that have made me love them in the 2020s, and the malaise that I have garnered from having the same experience, just a different artist, is a big part of that. There’s nothing that feels new about any Drake release since views, and the actual album isn’t too different either. You know you’re gonna get bloated, a few songs that are clear stream bait, and progressively less interesting subject matter

No I just named things that get s*** on all the time that I could think of that isn’t an exhaustive list of everything I listen to I was just listening to Gang Starr and Pharoah Monch all day a few days ago Lmaoo
I listen to all rap old new commercial or not as long as it’s made well
I genuinely don’t understand peoples takes on most music anymore
There’s definitely some stuff that’s not for me but as far as Drake goes there hasn’t been a single album I haven’t liked lmao
I kinda grew off of him for a while and he pulled me back in with HNVM and made me remember how much I missed listening to his music

"Am I the only one who likes pretty much every MCU movie?"
It's fine if you're relatively easier to please. The status quo wouldn't be what it is if you were the only one enjoying it.
