I've noticed this too, sometimes I think its just an engineering trick but it could very well be vocal inflection

the puerto rican and dominican demo influenced certain inflections and the ny accent in general

now pretend there's a d where the r is, try to say pdactus. say it out loud a few times. notice how it sounds like ur rolling the r?

I knew figi was Haitian but matta being Bengali is wild
