Rewatching this and season 3 man is flawless television. Not a dull episode and obviously Chicanery is the best episode in the series. Love this show

Real one.
I still think SZN 3 is the best season of the series
S4 introduces Lalo tho but still gotta give it to S3. Hector was truly a goon before his stroke
I got 2 episodes left in S4 and I’m struggling to get thru it tbh. This season started off well but it’s been super boring for the past few episodes. The Huell plot and the Mike overseeing the Germans plots are mad uninteresting.

Watching episode 1 of S4 now. I remember being mad at Walt after seeing what they went through building it.

Season 5 is much better
but i love season 4
I have a theory about Kim. So we don't hear about or even see her in Breaking Bad. In fact, Saul Goodman. He's his worst self. As Jimmy McGill, he's a lot more bearable. And real. And Kim keeps him grounded and centered, she brings out the best of him.
Not to mention they're in love. Jimmy is terrified of losing Kim, he admits this to Mike during the last episode of Season 5. So I'm asking myself, what happens to Kim that throws Jimmy off course and hurtling towards the Saul persona?
I don't think Kim truly leaves him. That's a Skyler move. And Kim is ride or die. The manner in which she dies has to be so cruel and heart-breaking, it devastates Jimmy to the point where he abandons his original name and takes on the Saul Goodman persona. And what more could kill Jimmy McGill than believing Kim leaves him, when in actuality she's dead.
The key is Lalo.
Lalo kills Kim. But he forces her to write a fake letter that basically denounces Jimmy and how Kim blames him for ruining her life. The letter will read how she hates him and she wishes they never met and how she is glad they will not be seeing each other ever again. Kim is in tears, similar to how Lydia tried to beg Mike not to kill and disappear her back in Breaking Bad Season 5, and she's begging Lalo.
This will kill Jimmy. He can't know that I blame him. He can't know that I hate him. I don't. I love him. But Lalo presses the gun to her temple and says: If you don't do this, after I'm done with you, I'm coming for Jimmy. Kim has to sacrifice herself and the reality of her love for Jimmy, in order to hurt him. She writes the letter and like, her hand is shaking. Her body is trembling. And there will definitely be sad OST.
