Nope killing Werner by Mike’s hand was great de evolution, it made mike feel just as scummy as the dirty cops that killed his own son just because they had thought that there was a chance he would tell on them
This also is something that follows mike for the a majority of BCS SZN 5 as well.
That was his friend, and now since this happened this will make Mike even colder and more unwilling to give in to feeling any sense of friendship for people he works with in the future
Obviously Jesse becomes sorta the exception to this rule but you’ll notice even with Saul in BB era he’s even colder then he is with him in this show.
f***. powerful stuff.

I don’t wanna dive too deep in season 5, just in case you haven’t watched it
but there is definitely a resentment towards Gus for this.
I would however agree with you on how they set this conflict up.
I think it was very stupid that Werner just left because he wanted to see his wife lmfao like that was so dumb, who gets into cartel esque business and thinks they could make such ridiculous choices and get off with minor trouble.

yup, haven’t seen 5 yet.
but yea, the fallout seems powerful but the lead-up to the event required a lot of suspension of disbelief. mike & gus not allowing him to see his wife, Werner very suddenly becoming depressed and deciding he just HAD to see his wife, Werner not telling them that he was gonna fly her out, Werner sneaking away, Gus deciding there was only 1 possible solution... I didnt quite buy it. oh well.

I bought Gus being the very careful type and taking Werner out, no second chances kinda guy.
It was what was gonna happen to Walter in BB

But yeah i would definitely say that the set up of this complete gullible doofus attempting to flee and come back as if nothing was wrong was admittedly pretty bad writing. Which is oddly rare for this writing staff. I think it’s the weakest plot line of this entire show.
Someone told me this season was their least favorite because of this plot line and i gotta admit, i can understand why.
So
BB SZN 5
BCS SZN 3
BB SZN 4
BCS SZN 5
BCS SZN 4
BCS SZN 1
BB SZN 3
BCS SZN 2
BB SZN 2
BB SZN 1
Damn BB 1&2 are my favorites out of those, and I'd probably put BB 3 was the overall worst

take in mind that i find each season here a classic
just finished szn 5 last night. writing wasn't as good, but the thrill was definitely there and had me binge watching. lalo turned out to be a quality character. expected a bigger moment at the end, but still enjoyed it
I would place it last prolly tbh
El Camino wasn't all that great imo, it felt a little unnecessary and the writing and especially the pacing felt off

I’m not trying to make excuses for it but it could also be because we are used to BB as a show and having it condensed into a film doesn’t make a lot of time for this kind of story to be as impactful as a epilogue for the entire show.
I would have actually preferred it as a small 5 episode mini series

That would have been better but even then personally it would've been unnecessary, but that mostly cause I'm a sucka for ambiguity in movie and tv show endings and I liked how they ended Jesse's story in the series finale with uncertain freedom

I can understand that. I like ambiguity a lot.
In this specific case i don’t mind an actual answer because i just really wanted closure for Jesse personally.
Just finished binging season 5, Lalo lowkey the best villain in the entire BB universe, hadn't watched the show in ages so I didn't remember him being that scary. That scene of him at Saul's apartment was so f***ing intense, was expecting Mike to snipe Kim by accident
God I miss this show. I miss Lalo
