As much as I love Sam Esmail’s work and especially Mr Robot

I always seem to remember his comment about how plot is meaningless to him when I think of BCS. It’s the perfect counter to that viewpoint.

When plot writing is done to absolute perfection like it is on this show, it’s as impactful as any other element of a show

Saul thought Howard was the one blocking him from moving up at the firm but it was his brother all along

    so for kim

    • howard kept her in doc review following the kettlemans firing her (which wasn't really kims fault), and after the mesa verde thing still kept her in there
    • kim wasn't aware that saul caused chuck's insurance to go up. she thought it was f***ed up when howard told jimmy he thought chuck offed himself. with kim's support of saul going up, the outcomes are getting worse.

    jimmy

    • howard went along with chuck to (justifiably imo lmao) professionally bury jimmy when he was at his lowest, which is something that jimmy isn't ever going to forget.
    • also pretty sure he is using howard as a scapegoat to take out his frustration from the guilt resulting from chuck's suicide. it gets really obvious when howard tells jimmy he's going to therapy following chuck's death, considering jimmy's coping methods (or lack thereof) haven't been ideal.
    • howard benefits from nepotism and privilege, something that jimmy didn't and it's eating at jimmy. kim also suffers from this but to a lesser extent.
    • jimmy viewed the job offer from howard as pitying and condescending.
