y'all think it's a coincidence saul isn't ever called a cartel lawyer in BB, or he does something to actively negate that title?
i've had a theory for a while that howard's gonna die either from being at the wrong place at the wrong time and getting killed by someone "in the game"(probably cartel, possibly lalo, or tuco if they just want him to go out as brutally as possible), or kim and jimmy succesfully ruin his life and he kills himself(would sort of complete the cycle of what he did in/for chuck's final arc)
even if the cartel kills howard and it f***s up jimmy a la his PTSD/paranoia post-bagman, i still don't think he'd take the deal to rat on cartel though
Seeing some of the takes on this episode are annoying as f***
niggas just want this show to be Narcos: Albequerque
One of the best non-cartel focused episodes this season. I love when it’s more focused on the lawyer side versus the d*** side.
Someone tell me real quick if I'm wrong about this cause its been buggin me, but I don't feel as if Mike and Saul really had that strong of a relationship in BB, almost as if they barely even knew each other. I could be completely misremembering this but its kinda bothering me as a continuity error. Again, I'm probably wrong about this even tho I've seen BB in its entirety a few times and I do slightly remember their interactions, but it wasn't as people who knew each other and went through the things that they've been through

Nah they definitely knew each other, Saul had Mike do some oddball jobs for him in Breaking Bad just like he does in BCS. Sending him to clean up Jesse’s apartment after Jane died, sending him to bug Walt’s house, etc. He also presumably went thru Mike to introduce Walt to Gus, since Saul himself doesn’t know Gus

OK yup, I'm remembering a bit better now.

he referred to mike as his own personal P.I. multiple times in BB
the scene of them listening to the recording of walt freaking out about ted has some good banter and then the scene after where walt flips out on them once he realizes they bugged his house, they def have a dynamic together even then
OK yup, I'm remembering a bit better now.
I also think despite them going through that grueling experience together, it wasn’t really supposed to be a bonding experience. Mike was just looking out for him because he needed to be sure the job was done, and also because he’s decent enough to not want the guy to die out in the desert. As Jimmy copes with it (and it seems like he’s already getting over it now that he’s deep into this scheme with Kim), I think it’ll just go back to business as usual between the two of them. I actually really like their relationship, Mike can’t stand Jimmy but he keeps him around and doesn’t want to see him get hurt - although he wouldn’t lose any sleep over it either.
Mike still feels bad for the guy at times, he told him lalo would be killed to console him when he was breaking down in his house

which was the plan tbh
which was the plan tbh
It was, but he only divulged that info cuz saul was losing his s*** and scared
S*** had me so dead
The way this show can have you crying out of pure loss to having you crying of laughter the very next episode and it feeling very in tone with the show is just an amazingly impressive thing
He don't say lalos name but he def says his whole family dead and the salamanca name dies with him
i know BIg lalo make it out alive
Rhea is just flat out a goddess for being as amazing of an actress as she is, and then blowing me away as a director too
That opening scene was one of my favorites in the whole series >>> connecting it to that dope ass scene with Gus later in the episode. A thing of beauty
