No way Saul goes back to living life normal after this... Man.... but then in BB there's no indication of this severe trauma.

one day you’ll realize… you haven’t thought about it

The Saul persona is already a mask that he dived deeper into because of the Chuck trauma and guilt

Howard Hamlin is my favorite character in the entire methverse. The way his reputation is tarnished even in death now was so sad. And then Jimmy and Kim have to live with that guilt and bear that cross now.

I really did look at him as an entitled white man. But he made a choice to be who he was, which we can all do.

He still had his privileges but yeah.

i think the saul we see in breaking bad is a pretty conceivable outcome for a character that has gone through a lot of s***, just completely hidden behind the character with the exceptions of moments where his life on the line (like when he thinks Lalo has come back to kill him in his first appearance)

I'll give you Chuck and the firm doing him dirty. But this? And after getting shot at in the desert?

After the desert and this, I would of hung up that lifestyle. I think they need to show more of that theme with these last episodes. Like.... he can't let this lifestyle go.

Despite all this crazy near death s*** he's seen. Most people would skip town and quit. Like I would never ever talk to Mike or be even close to Gus.

Everybody in BB Universe is built different? It's called characterization. Show it. Don't just assume people are who they are unless they come in that way (Gus, Mike, Lalo, etc).

Then they need to show more of that. Like show that that outweighs life itself.

It’s not about the money. If it was about the money he would have been fine at Davis & Main

Chuck dying because of his chicanery is worse than the desert shootout and at least on the level of the Howard death imo. That was the true breaking point. The season after was all about his refusal to face his grief and guilt. He coped by f***ing with Howard, selling the burners and eventually dropping the McGill name all together. It led directly to him embracing Saul completely.

The Howard death is more of a Kim problem. A very similar one.

Jimmy was already holding it together in the immediate aftermath of the Howard shooting, enough to slip into his Saul bag for a bit to get Kim out of there and still try to play Lalo. He’s already accepted the Saul lifestyle and will just continue to dive deeper into it.

I see Saul Goodman as a coping mechanism for Jimmy. An addiction, a d***. You cant just give something like that up. I mean look at Gene’s situation. He’s still itching to go back to it.
