That time jump felt...jarring. The way everything wrapped up perfectly post mid season finale. Idk it feels like they made the jump too soon

it's growing on me the more and more i think about it. like others have said itt, the moment that s*** went down, that was the last shred of humanity in Jimmy
Also idc what anyone says. Odenkirk cannot act like people pretend like he can. He always looks like he's trying too hard to act. Rhea killed that scene tho.

Yeah on that level it makes sense. I think it's the fact that there wasn't even a quick montage. No big deal or anything really. Gives it more weight on a rewatch.

it reminds me of the first season of Fargo. i haven't watched it since it dropped so i don't remember all the details, but i remember some sort of hard-cut timeskip like this episode

I need to watch the other 3 seasons of that too. So much good TV airing at once rn it's hard to watch anything old

What else was there left to cover in that time period?
What I'm a little confused about is that I though he was only able to get the ridiculous gaudy mansion from the money he got working with Walt, but now they're showing him there already before Walt and Jesse have entered the picture? Is this mid-BB (after Walt has met Saul) at the end of the episode?
is anybody else getting Wizard of Oz vibes from this show? not trynna be on some funny tinfoil hat s***, but the emphasis of red contrasting the black and white poster and the fact that Omaha is where the Wizard is from cant be coincidental

maybe it's the sandpiper money?

OH FACTS YOU'RE RIGHT. I'm a dumbass that didn't even occur to me
Btw that was a masterfully done episode. This show does not miss. Vince & Peter are so f***ing insane with final seasons too

"You're gonna sit down. I'm going to give you a foot massage. Then you're going to take your clothes off. Understood?"
I actually love that Gus scene. It shows how lonely and empty he is. Even the Salamancas have blood and unity amongst each other. I love how the episode started with the fallout on Mike and Gus’ side. Pretty worthwhile misdirection. Everyone is so focused on Kim and Jimmy, so I found it cool, especially with Mike, to see how he carries this sorta thing.
Wow. Bob Odenkirk showed a level of vulnerability I’ve never seen from him before. This is really a love story for the ages.

As for the meat and potatoes, I’ve had a bit of trouble processing Kim character arc in this final season. This kinda adds to it. I get it tho.
