It was clear to me he was gay from the BB episode where they have the flashback killing Max by the pool.
Also they did a callback to that in this episode when Gus looks down to the pool using a similar shot

1-3 is the Jimmy v Chuck lawyer drama that’s pivotal to how Jimmy could have not been Saul had he had more emotional support and acceptance. Chuck is the main villain.
4-6 is Jimmy’s regression, more intense cartel things happening this season.
