If they didn’t announce the cameos it would’ve been way more of a moment tbh. Hope they only did that because they were forced to by AMC
I saw a comment with Aaron a while ago where it sounded more like they found out the info was about to leak or some s***, so they confirmed it first at that season 6 premiere event to get ahead of the leak?
Like he was describing how it went down in real time, he was like in the Uber going to the premiere expecting to have to keep everything super secret (he was going to be arriving after the red carpet to avoid interviewers), then in the car someone from the team that was already there texted him and said "Vince just revealed you guys were in it." For memory he seemed to suggest they were trying to beat tabloids revealing s*** or something?
I don’t understand how any of this is “fan service”. It’s a continuation of Saul’s story, in which he is integral & directly involved with how powerful Heisenberg became.
Showing events he was apart of in BB from his perspective is not “fan service”, especially when the entire show is about showing everything that lead up to him becoming Gene Takovic.
It’s also a great choice from the writers to show the parallels, and how he hasn’t changed at all, it is who he is, which has been a theme of the show from the very beginning.
Dawg the transitions of him laying in his own grave, and him opening his car door were unbelievable. Can’t remember the last time I saw s*** like that on TV
they definitely wiretapping kim or something tbh. jimmy ending up in jail. quote when right

Spitting
Damn just peeped this connection on Reddit, not only is there the thing with Saul like "A man who has a mustache like that clearly isn't making good life choices" (and then ending up with the same mustache once he's Gene), but there's also the fact that he's got his own Jesse - Jeff's mom calls him "Jeffy."
Don't know how I didn't spot that
Damn. So "The partners escalate their enterprise to new levels." is intentionally ambiguous to highlight the parallels between Walt/Jesse and Gene/Jeffy.
Quadruple entedre don't even ask me how
Fire ep. But im sorry, BCS is not better than BB.
never used to think so, but it’s definitely argument to be had
one does not blow the other out the water by any means
to fair this level of investment we have with BCS could never work without BB first,
but it’s like of like Godfather 2 where it makes us go back and look at Godfather 1 entirely different

Yeah, once this is all said and done it won't even need to be about which one's better or worse to be honest, like looking at it as a whole we got almost 15 dang years of excellent stuff - what if they're just both equally great in their own ways?

It's tough because while similar and set in the same universe they are distinctly different, too. I don't really bother trying to compare them.
I do think there's probably a lot of recency bias when people are quick on the "BCS is better" trigger, but I also don't think that necessarily means that BCS isn't better, just that the recency bias makes people more likely to think that it is
Gene really can not stay away from the life of scheming. Almost seems like he wants to get caught at this point

Its like what the guy with cancer said about drinking. You only get one go around. Thats how gene is feeling right now hes tired of staying low

exactly they’re both just too great for me to even separate them at this point
BCS has to have the title for GOAT prequel though, I don’t think it’s even close

THIS. On a somewhat similar note I've stopped debating Drake vs. Kendrick because it's just like "Who really gives a s***? They both exist and I'm so happy they do because they're both amazing in their own ways." That's how I feel about BB / BCS, too

Damn. The layers in this show are just unparalleled

these recasts are just getting ridiculous
Aaron Paul doesn't play Jesse Pinkman convincingly anymore
Dude got hella old overnight
Cranston on the other hand
aaron paul not much of an actor. simple as that
Gene really can not stay away from the life of scheming. Almost seems like he wants to get caught at this point
Saw someone also theorise that maybe Gene's actively trying to get caught because it might make the news - Kim could see, then re-take the lawyer's oath to defend him?
Pretty farfetched IMO, but it's cute.
Jonathan Banks ages 50 years for every 1 standard human year
Blud looks like he’s 800 years old at this point
Watching this scene now goes crazy
looking at this scene way differently now
