The irony is Chuck is the one who caused this. Jimmy left his life of scamming to work for Chuck and worked hard to pass the bar exam so he could one day earn his brother's respect. After he found out he'd never get that respect because Chuck is a d***head, he said f*** it imma be slipping jimmy since that's all people will see me as anyway.

If it was a packed theater, i guarantee that would have been a lit moment
It'd be alot easier to feel bad for genes downfall if so much of it weren't so self inflicted. He got no one but himself to blame for that night scam blowing up in his face dude coulda either just not bothered with the cancer patient OR left when Jeff pulled up
Pouring a drink? Bruhhhh
His life as gene woulda felt even more tragic if they showed more of saul living his best life when he got rich just to emphasize how much he lost
One whole season of saul and huell working for weirdos in Saul's office woulda been bawse
And one more random thought that tequila top was a real odd red herring to focus on so much, guess that was to throw off the reddit detectives
forgot about the tequila top
I could see it being one of the last shots of the show

I agree 100% and have been keeping this in mind and in conversation through the entire series, but last night was the first time I truly almost felt like “chuck was right.” Several truly disappointing moments from Jimmy in the last ep.
Chuck, Kim and even Howard played their roles in Jimmy’s downfall but his actions are his alone at the end of the day. His refusing to confront his trauma is f***ing him over again.

yup the moral of saul's story is chuck was right about him all along.
its sad to see kim so beaten down in that life, like imagine those women s***ting on the food in front of prime kim wexler. she would've put them in their place.
Man... I've always thought since the first flash forward that he looks like the drawings of murderer sketches.
