Fax tho Walking Dead used to be absolute flames. But now…

it kinda works on a meta-level. You see Jimmy/Saul go from this kinda comedic/humored brash egotistical guy to this mostly washed, tragic but still unrepetent figure.
Whether intended or not, it's kind of cool contextually. As things close into this final ending, they really do feel like they're closing in fully and all that's left is for the curtains to finally fall. A lot of times with fiction things go on so much and change tone and pace that endings just kind of happen, even if the rest of the series is masterful. Here is really does feel like it's over, and the brevity of the situation and tenseness of audience anticipating the end really mimics the tone the show has gone toward as the seasons have moved closer toward the ending
