Is it me or does gus come off a lot cooler in this than BB? I didn't like how he went out against walt

Gus was a straight up badass in BB. But this has opened up his character a little bit.

I just didn't like how he kept giving walt and jesse chances when he clearly should've killed one of them/turned them into a slave. I get why for plot reasons but it kindve ended up making him look weak.
Now that plot is out the way seeing him in his prime is awesome

Oh I definitely didn’t think he was weak. Just got out matched. The mistake was trying to kill hector himself. I thought it was a little out of character for him not to know something was up but it is tv and they wanted to move the plot and show that everyone even someone as smart as Gus has weaknesses. I mean Walt is touted as the strongest smartest one but he had tons of flaws obviously.

Not saying the character was weak at all just saying it felt out of character. I like how untouchable he feels in bcs

I definitely feel like that last move was out of character especially coming off of him knowing Walt planted a bomb under his car.
