Australia importing culture wars from the US every other week
Sky News f***ing their country up.
Went to a mall high a few months ago and while I was waiting in the food court, I looked around me and thought about the effects of globalization. Hella stores that we have here now that we didn't have while I was growing up or even a few years ago. Burger King, Starbucks, Apple stores. How the unique aesthetics of my different local malls faded over time. Now they all have this white, black and grey "modern" design. Made me realize how our identity is being lost without us even caring
Kinda ruined my high

During the 2020 elections they asked people in the Netherlands if they were going to vote for Biden or Trump and they gave serious answers
they even asked these mfs if they've noticed there haven't been as many Mexicans in the country since Trump got elected

She's probably in Joburg, we don't have them over here. Wouldn't mind getting a branch, all we have is KFC and Nandos
It's wild, people were lining up for hours outside Burger King and Dunk N Donuts when they first came here in like 2013 just because they're international brands
It’s weird when people from other countries try to speak like Black Americans as well
Why so many people from other countries doing social media activism about abortion rights in the US

Because we have solidarity with the women of Alabama

THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNTIY MUST STAND UP

Them big ol San Antonio women too
Some of these ppl over here have so little to do it’s just sad. In the Netherlands they were demonstrating against that anti-abortion case in the US like it has literally anything to do with us.
@Scratchin_Bandit Makes no sense to me

U saw that ig post on page 1? People rly think that they live in the US
I get being interested in other countries politics i myself am either for ideological reasons or bc of personal ties, but protesting at the dam as if it's you who can't get an abortion anymore is so dumb
It's also counterproductive to whatever their cause is, if you import american culture from a left-wing pov that means the right reflexively is gonna adopt the right-wing pov. Like i wouldn't be surprised to see more right wingers become anti-abortion if they actually make it a big deal
