And agreed, Raven is an AOTY candidate. So many great songs on there and the sequencing was seamless.

you say that like she doesn’t have a unique vocal tone and can’t sing

her early songs like Project 11 were like lightning in a bottle if you ask me, not saying that her more uk garage / electronic influenced tracks aren’t good, but when she’s in that soul music bag she’s one of the best. Her appearance is obviously a big part of what opened doors, but not why she’s famous.

even without the Drake feature she probably would’ve gained an audience off that one project with the right promotion behind it.

? There's plenty great artists that don't break through.

She's also an independent artist from the UK, who hasn't drop an album in 5 years, and racked up quite a bit of accolades and name recognition. She's doing pretty great based off her situation
