• If you're heading out to pr0test, be sure to have your phone on a1rplane mode 30 mins before you head out, and only disable it if you're in need of help or need to call a loved one.

General tips

• If you are documenting any type of event going on in your area, please make sure to bl*r out any faces or identifiable tattoos, clothing, etc

• screen record any video you take with snapchat / ig etc and screenshot any image as well

• when pr0testing, be sure to wear clothing that obscures any distinct tattoos, blemishes, birth marks, etc

• wear a hat to conceal any type of identifiable hair color or style

• the baggier clothing the better, things like tights, compressed t shirts, any kind of mesh item etc will make your body susceptible to chemical burns from t3ar g4s, rubber pellets

Cool tips, but a VPN doesn’t really do much if they really want to track you down.

Unless you find one that doesn’t keeps logs, is based in a country that doesn’t have relations with the us, and you pay privately, I.e. not with PayPal or your debit card

Otherwise, all a vpn is really good for is keeping you relatively private while torrenting movies and s***

Tor browser/network isn’t necessarily private, but that’s its technical strength. That’s why using a VPN with Tor is generally not a good idea, it’s kind of like sticking out like a sore thumb

However, If someone gets control of the exit nodes, you can still be located with tor

You can use Bridges with Tor, but those are ethically supposed to be saved for people who truly need them

In reality, I don’t think any of us have anything to worry about anyway lol. It’s not like we are criminal masterminds, we just talk s*** on KTT

Also, the government absolutely has variable filters, so just putting a number in place of a letter will not stop posts like these from being spotted of someone is really looking for it lol

Idk a whole lot about high level encryption but I’ve seen read good things about these. For regular protest/activism these should be fine but for nefarious activities you’d need military grade encryption that’s better than FBI and CIA tools
