I really like the idea of a device like this and I think it’s super cool. I don’t have a history with the N64 though so this particular system wouldn’t mean much to me outside of just being a novelty.

they should be fine. its not emulating the games, just playing legal copies. plus, theyve already remade the nes (2014) and snes (2017) consoles as well as the gameboy (2019).
