Just got myself one for Christmas and began playing Pokémon Unbound!

Any good ROM hack games out there? Even any regular games.

Will soon be playing the Metroid series for the first time.

I think being able to play actual carts makes it worth while in the long run if you’re into collecting!

I’m loving the device, I’m playing games I’ve never played before/missed out on when I was a kid!

Not really thought of the price (was more angry at the f***ing custom prices)
It’s not for everyone. But f***ing hell the screen is sick.

Feel they’re gonna make a GBA type device with a larger screen

I’ve got all my GBA games but my original GBA is dying so tempted to either fix it up or get something different.

If you dont, just get a miyoo mini plus or the new flip. Or an rg405m that plays PS2/GameCube

Retroid 2s if you on a budget but want kinda higher end power

Lots of excellent Pokemon romhacks out there. Anything by Drayano is a good start.

Yeah debating a miyoo mini for a while now.

I think it's either something to play low end stuff or the RP4 pro tbh. As a side companion to the Ally it won't be used too much but needs to be easier to transport

how’s the form factor tho? like is it comfortable to hold for a while? and how’s the d-pad?

Form factors perfect for me, been smashing Chrono Trigger for 7hours flat yesterday 🤣

My only gripe is the d pad does feel a little stiff at times.

But I played Super Mario World and it felt okay, was precise enough. Metroid will be the game to test it

Unbound is f***ing stellar I can’t believe how good it is!

God Crystal Clear or Prism will be my next one!

I’ve been seeing a lot of people with modded GBA’s recently which look f***ing class!

Thinking bout copping the Retro Pocket 3+ for my cousin. You got me back into Pokémon unbound tho don’t think I ever finished it.

I’ve played a lot of Pokémon romhacks, my favorites are Pokémon Firered Rocket Edition (play this one next OP it’s the only other romhack on a level of it’s own, they say unbound is with it too tho), light platinum, glazed (make sure it has phys/special split), and if you want a totally different experience with fakemon that’s mildly funny then try Clover it was made by 4chan so there’s a lot of dumbass jokes and s*** but it’s actually pretty well balanced.

Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission are goated some of my all time favorite games period.
