2wordsAndre let us down because if you’re going to go left and make a statement, the flute album could’ve been better. Why are you playing MIDI flutes on most of it? Like, most of it isn’t actually the sound of him playing the flute, it’s just him inputting notes through a flute controller. It’s insane that he’s even afraid to let us hear his actual flute playing. He only played ACTUAL flute on 2 songs on the supposed “flute album”. You can’t make this s*** up

I feel that certain instruments like the flute or guitar or brass instruments have more subtleties that are difficult to recreate through midi
But also, when the fact he’s playing MIDI flute is kind of obscured in the marketing and it’s presented as him playing a real flute, I actually found it a little bit disappointing personally because the sound felt more sterile and not as personal coming from Andre. I feel like it could be used to cover up for technical ability too so idk. Just kind of weird imo
