He should’ve just called the album “Flutes & Digital Wind Instruments”
S*** kinda hard
Did you see his explanation of the title though
Fits his "Ice Cold" theme
Imagine it’s all flutes then the last track is like A Life In The Day of Benjamin Andre
Did you see his explanation of the title though
Fits his "Ice Cold" theme
Where did he talk about it?
Where did he talk about it?
His interview with NPR, basically said that the title means once the sun dies, they'll be a cold sun that burns blue
$ilkmoney saying that Andre jacked his album title lol it's seemingly in good spirits but that is dope that him and Andre still keep in touch in some manner possibly
i totally forgot about decemba remix
If he's gonna make experimental jazz music with carlos nino he should just work with flying lotus tbh
I would tune into that so easily
spit this s*** for real tho
brain brillo
kiddo says he looks up to me
this just makes me feel old
never thought we could become someone else’s hero
man… we were just in the food court eating our gyros
him not knowing chords/notes is cap
he plays piano fluently
That doesn’t mean he knows chords in a tangible sense. My roommate plays fluently but also doesn’t necessarily “know” chords or notes. This is because he reads and understands in terms of shape as in the shape of his hands in relation to the keys. You don’t have to know what the colors are in order to paint. It’s the same concept. Your ears naturally and intuitively know what notes sound “good” together and what notes sound a bit off. So with that already in mind and enough practice, you could start to form a basic understanding of what at least sounds good without necessarily knowing X = Cmj or Y= 3,2,1 progression
are u fr?
lowkey
Yes he can drop whatever he wants. But there's a difference between feeling like he owes you a rap album and being disappointed that a rap album isn't happening.
Oh yeah absolutely I understand people being disappointed. But it’s also a lot of people just coming off entitled because they aren’t getting what they wanted and taking it out on him personally

agreed
still feel like it's cap though
he probably doesn't have a sophisticated sense of chords (like automatically knowing how to invert extended 13th chords in different ways) but he definitely can point out where C or G is on a piano and play basic major/minor chords
He said he doesn’t know chords, notes, or scales but you don’t get very far into jamming with other musicians if it sounds bad - dude must have a preternatural ability, or maybe the breath control developed over a 20 year rap career primes you to play the flute
Why do they do this
