this has been nice to just put on and listen to in the background.

I was expecting Jazz I guess? but this is definitely more ambient/new age/world music which is cool. I'm no flutist so I have no idea whether Andre would be considered a "good" flute player. I wonder if he ever took lessons. From interviews, it seems as if he just picked the instrument and started playing with it, more like self-taught.

Andre being the gifted musician he is, it would come as no surprise to me if he was just naturally talented at playing flute. That seems to be commonality amongst many other artistic geniuses. Like Kanye being a good painter and having an eye for design or Prince being able to pick up virtually any instrument and learning at will. There are some people who just happen to be virtuosos with a wide array of artistic abilities.
