why are ppl getting so bent out of f***ing shape over a flute album LMFAO

Yeah. That logic is especially weird since the 35+ rappers are basically the go to rappers for bars and substance these days.
Gibbs and Lupe turned 40 last year and dropped heat.
But it's cool that he's doing what he wants and there's nothing wrong with branching out.
Maybe this will inspire people to check out Big Boi's catalog more though.
His last album with Sleepy Brown was heat.
I lowkey hope that Big Boi and Killer Mike drop a collab album soon cause damn near all of their collabs are GOAT tier.
big boi has quietly had a solid solo discog
big boi has quietly had a solid solo discog
Definitely dude.
Sir Lucious is still timeless and sounds great.
That album he project he made with Phantogram was heat too.
Andre's my dude but, now that he's dropped the idea of ever dropping a rap album, I've been revisiting Big Boi's work more.
how are ppl not appreciating a 90s hip hop artist having an ayaushcha experience and making a flute album
literally
Definitely dude.

Sir Lucious a f***ing classic
Sir Lucious a f***ing classic
People usually call albums classics because of impact, influence...
Sir Lucious is a classic because of f***ing great it is
Makes it more impressive imo

He said that he’s open to a doing a rap album, but just not at this time! So we will probably get one in the future.
such a gorge album, he rly blessed us. archetype of "it may not be what you want, but what you need"

I don't know fam.
It sounds like Andre's heart isn't in it.
I'm cool with him delving into other genres. The Class of 3000 soundtrack was heat as was The Love Below.
He's said many times over the years that he's not really interested in dropping a rap album because he didn't know what to rap about in his age.
Plus, he's said he has anxiety and is fearful of criticism and, in today's age where everybody's a critic online, I don't see him having the courage to drop a rap album anytime soon.
But hey....he'll still drop solid features here and there.

You could be right! But he really did say he was open to it in the interview though. He just doesn’t have anything to say right now. But you’re right this day and age with all the criticism it ironically gets harder and harder to put yourself out there, despite it being hypotheticaly getting easier and easier.
Was waiting to listen to this on a Sunday morning expecting it to sound more earthy but tbh it sounds more cosmic. I should of listened to this last night instead
this album made me wanna pick up the sax again
havent played or practiced in years
Haven't listened yet, but this post is beautiful after seeing all the discourse around the album in here. Haven't played the piano in years but Lahai recently made me feel the same way
