Dec 3, 2020·1 replyMrKiDIn the Raimi films, it leaned heavy on the Ditko comics, so to me. Tobey's interpretation of Peter was pretty cheesy stereotypical nerd compared to Andrew. Andrew felt more real and relatable than Tobey. Plus lets not get started the chemistry between Peter and Gwen, it was perfect. There was some things to fix with Andrew's Peter tho
thing is I hung out wit a lot of nerds and they legit behave like Tobey did in those films. Andrew never really behaves like a nerd. He behaves like an extremely antisocial person that you just don't want to be near. And then through the course of one movie, he is pretty well liked all of a sudden and he just behaves like Mr. Popular from then on.
I think Holland is a more realistic nerd than Garfield was too.
Raimis films were cheesy but cmon bruh, Andrews Peter literally plays basketball like its football and crushes a basketball rim, throws a football and bends the football post, and has an entire research montage set to that cringe ass "For Youuuu" fedora anthem song. Raimis films definitely don't touch any of those moments outside of the 3rd film.

Holland is not Peter or Spider-Man to me, because of billions of reasons. I f***ing hate MCU Spidey. I dont want to get into details, because it would take me a whole day why I don't like his version of Spider-Man.

I can understand why People say the sequel was bad but personally I liked it and thought it was like a comic or cartoon brought to life.
