this is crazy. the economy is getting so bad that its no longer financially viable for some artists to go on tour.

idk if there was a thread made about this but Santigold recently cancelled her plans for the same reasons:

Kinda pissed off at this cos I was looking forward to this after I had to miss a couple of other shows this year

yeah i feel like ive been seeing so many tour cancellations for one reason or another

Tbh I find it hard to imagine a relatively popular band like ac that hasn't toured Europe in god knows how long is really that pressed in terms of earnings from this tour but I guess transport and fuel costs have shot up and they do try do a lot with their stage backdrops etc and gear so prob added up trying to lug all that across Europe would've thought weak euro would've helped coming from the US but idk

Unless you a superstar you are barely breaking even on tours and merch these days. That's why artists gotta become "content creators" now lol.
