just watched the entirety of serial experiments lain for the first time. something about anime from the 90s hit different man, be it this, NGE, Perfect Blue, etc. truly some of the greatest pieces of animation ever. this will definitely be rewatched.

WW2 eraser propaganda is a success!

for anyone interested in the anime/PSX game, this is a fantastic a***ysis. one of my favorite Youtube channels as of late.
Writing up an animator spotlight on Shinsaku Kozuma, the oldest regular on Mappa’s shounen titles
She just chose the bag as anticlimatic and sad as that is. She's not the type of character to abort or risk raising a child single and broke
So ur saying she had no choice
ehh thats not the vibe i got
she always wanted a loving person, and ended up with someone who remained there for duties sake, and even Nana warned her in the second/last episode that she may need to get over him cheating on her in the long term as he was a womanizer,
when a early arc is her vehemently disagreeing with the aspect of cheating.
There was a better love option near the end but dude was a b**** and couldnt deal with the fact his feelings could either save or hurt Hachiko, so chose non action instead
I really need to read the manga now, cause i feel like theres lots missing from the story (as anime often does)
I mean I think everyone wanted her to end up with nobu but he was a p**** and clearly just not yet ready for a relationship like that
But thats also what makes nana so great to me. Its the realest show i ever seen. Not everyone makes the right decisions all the time and sometimes those choices have massive consequences
If u keep reading the manga u may find a little more satisfaction but its also not finished yet and may never be so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah totally,
The realism in the end works better as a plot device, but i was in my feels right after finishing it.
Have the manga in my cart to start reading soon but need to start this new job first.
Too bad i didnt watch a month earlier so i could get the vivienne westwood collab
Quite enjoyed Makeine but I don't see anything this MC does that can't be done by any other char in the series. Also a very awkward position to be in why are people celebrating this lmao, his pov is a torture
This gets a solid score just for having background characters that don't look like generic fillers
Chill girl she’s all yours
Need to watch that actually
17-26 was decent, it would have been nice if every episode had the same quality as 1,4,6, and 8 the rest were serviceable to bad
