Question about quintessential quintuplets

In the anime the quints can disguise themselves as a different quintuplet just by changing their hair style

However all of their hair colors are different so if you already know they're quints you'd be able to tell the difference

And yet they're identical to everyone including the MC

So my question is: is their hair color real? Or is it just for the audience to see and tell them apart? Do they actually all have Nino's hair color? (which is why the MC also can't tell who he saw as a child)
