I had to come back and say you might be wrong. A lot of the scenes in the AoT Season 4 trailer weren't in the anime. They were preview only animated scenes. Especially the ones with giant titans.

Brah, the only trailer that was pre-animated was the one from last year Besides we saw Denji in 3D a couple of times in the two latest trailers idk what ppl are surprised about.

im not . the only PV that had animation not in the final product was the first one. The last two has had footage in the anime.

People expect mappa animated episode be constant like pre release review trailer or way better. I understand there will be Cgi but people didn’t expected samething like Attack of titans. When the anime doesn’t match with pre trailer. This reason why people have issue with mappa studio.

How does this work exactly, if you can have it animated for a trailer then how is that same scene not in the show

It’s promotion material for the announcement for the anime. It give people the idea how the show will look like base on trailer. The real question is can they make show look like exactly like in the trailer. That another hard part when the studio have do 30 minutes episode animated 2 drawing with color shadings.

You can’t compare it with AoT since that had one trailer that was pre-animated before airing. It wasn’t a showcase for how it would really look that’s just what most ppl (including me) thought.

This isn’t the case here we know how CSM will look based on the trailers and it includes CGI. So again, idk what ppl are surprised about here. Now you can talk about the quality of the CGI but that’s even dumber considering that clip is filmed with a toaster.
