now that I'm finally up to date with To Your Eternity, I must say the plot is getting kind of slow
the first season is gold
I'm thinking what to watch now, if I don't find anything better I'll go with Mushishi
I was really not expecting to like trigun this much but I feel like its been a standout all season
anything Trigun is gas

it slowed down for a few episodes while they convinced Renril to be allies/prep them for Knocker invasion, but i feel like s*** is about to go off the hinges again for the last handful of episodes

The Nana dialogues as they transition into the EDs are still some of the most GOATed anime sequences I've ever experienced.

Happy Birthday Akihiko Yamashita
Akihiko Yamashita got his start in the industry early doing in-betweening on popular series like Urusei Yatsura and Tranformers. Later down the line into the 90s he spent more time on key animation and was put on important scenes.
Yamashita became good enough at animating that he was assigned to animation director on series like Giant Robo and The Big 0. He excelled a lot in consistent movement and he would eventually be brought to work on Hayao Miyazakiâs Spirited Away. Yamashita was assigned to a pretty lengthy scene in which Chihiro saves a polluted river spirit. Yamashita does an impressive job delivering character and emotion to multiple subjects in frame and displaying mind boggling effects work with the gif in the compilation above in particular being around (correction) 63 frames in one shot.
test animation
From there on out, Yamashita would become one of the top draftsmen of Studio Ghibli usually handling lengthy scenes. He would be assigned key animation roles, and also animation director like on Howlâs Moving Castle. Yamashita can occasionally venture outside of Ghibli, but it is usually rare. Whenever he does make an appearance his animation works incredibly nice. There is a practical-ness to his drawings that might seem ordinary to some, but heâs able to compensate with a nice display of motion and his oscillation between dynamic and beautiful character framing.
So yeah, just wanted to do a brief birthday shoutout to Yamashita. One of the best on the current Ghibli staff. I wouldnât be surprised if we see his work on How Do You Live? this year.
Currently working on a long Naotoshi Shida writeup right now and expect that on Saturday!
I remember seeing CSM fans say that since the BDs released like two days before the end of the week, we couldn't judge it until we saw week two sales.
Men lie women lie but the number donât lie. CSM about sale worst than all this SoundCloud rappers.
