He's making a joke about people who use the Japanese names for shows typically referred to by their English name in the western anime community - think like if someone told you their favorite anime was Hagane renkinjutsushi instead of FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood, you'd look at them like a freak because nobody says that s*** lol

Some shows are different (like I don't think someone is corny for calling Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba), but sometimes it does just seem like an attempt by people to seem more cultured than their peers

Yeah I had a talk with a friend about my list and he said it was really hard to tell like what my FR FR favorite shows were so I went and separated things by 4/5, the 3s and 2s (and some 1s) are the neutral faces/frowny faces from before, but I separated the smiley faces into stuff that I just liked/stuff that I loved (4 and 5 respectively)
