Trying to enjoy the new BNHA episodes and "dark" Deku being cool but the dialogue is so handfisted. They're trying too hard to be marvel and they do too much exposition in the script.
Edit: This storyline and the OP song makes me think they're attempting to pull off a Naruto type emotional arc.
Donāt watch marvel. I think itās cool as is, wym specifically?

For BHMA standards this plot is very ambitious don't get me wrong but something doesn't really hit for me
Like Deku suddenly being this dark badass hero in the shadows and the top 3 helping him while society is turning against super heroes, is a very dramatic Marvel type plot, it reminds me of spider-man plots a little and some of the post-endgame marvel stuff
They should've either built up to it or have something actually happen to Deku to cause character development
In Spider-Man stories, Spider-Man is both a hero and a likable awkward teenager, part of his popularity is the combination of action and slice of life plots which have been in BNHA since the beginning.
But part of Spider-Man's story is tragedy, he has to hide his identity to protect his loved ones. Which is what they're trying to do with Deku now but it's not convincing. It's predictable he'll get back with the A1 class very soon so what's the point, unless it develops him as a character, which hasn't happened a lot.
Also the "blackwhip" really reminds me of Spider-Man's webs.
The society turning against superheroes reminds me of Endgame and post-Endgame because of the heroes losing to Thanos and society blaming them and distrusting them, same story, and you have rogue groups who oppose super heroes like in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The Todoroki family story is also tropey (I didn't expect Dabi to be Endevour's son but a villain secretly being a hero's son and vice versa is not a surprising twist), that being said as far as trying to humanize these characters and make us root for them it worked for me and by far the best story arc here.
Also not Marvel but the One for All past heroes sequences remind me of Avatar, but that's actually cool.

To be fair, I do think the city getting destroyed & the heroās essentially losing (by a long shot) is enough for Midorya to change in some way. That and One For Allās new powers ofc
But I respect what you saying, you could be 200% right I donāt watch marvel stuff
You're making me want to watch this just to know what you're talking about
I got like another 17 eps of nana commentary
I need the anime equivalent of an NFL coaching tree to track what obscure shows people itt started watching after I finished watching em. Sympho cult crowing
I'm not watching Symphogear
Melancholy of suzumiya haruhi is really fire. Thought they were going to go down the chunibyo route but glad to see a different take. They do a good job jumping from a hilarious moments into something serious the next scene.
This ED too
feels like every anime now has either junichi suwabe or kenjirou tsuda voicing someone in it
not that im complaining cus they both got great voices but its something ive noticed

The Fire Hunter is pretty interesting. I know a lot of ppl arenāt fan of the animation but idk I like it
The ost is nice too
RIP to leiji matsumoto, legendary author, mangaka and director, creator of many classic stories and characters. Here in Italy, captain Harlock was a religion
Yasu, Ren, and Takumi are the more mature characters so far
Idek if I consider takumi to be mature actually lol.
Bro for some reason I just canāt stand Hachi and her decision making. So easily swayed but thatās what makes her a good character for this series. @op
Look at Hachi switch teams in the blink of an eye. You canāt buy loyalty these days. At this point Iām just venting.

It would be interesting if another character changed to mirror Deku and their stories collided somehow

Which order are you watching?

Yeah, she's lost essentially looking for something always bigger.
Kinda like someone who stands for nothing always falls for something? She's too niave and has to depend on everyone else to build her defenses and decision making around her.

Iām so bad at recognizing voices despite years of watching anime
Thereās like 3 distinct voices Iāll catch
