UIPman Akame Ga Kill is one of the worst shows iāve ever seen. they literally wait til the episode a character is gunna die, then shoehorn in as many emotional moments for them as possible so that you feel bad during the death scene.

Fruits basket I did really enjoy but idk if I can say it was better than my favorite shounen even if it did evoke a more emotional response

there is so much more to anime than shounen
Anime has a specific type of humor/culture within the shows
Shounen introduced me to the way things are without it being extremely cringe (which MOST anime is).
Trust every anime Iād seen when I disliked it as a whole when friends tried to show me was all just weird AF to me because it was too different from US TV/movies.
