Firstly this episode is all over the place with Tanaka’s corrections early on, with a surprising turn of his style capturing many of the more mundane everyday scenes, and even still there is something so microscopically unsettling about them.
Tanaka appears again in Episode 9 of the show, though it seems like he had less time to complete it through his direction, it’s still a very good episode nonetheless.
The most memorable scene is Kobeni’s attack, animated by freelancer Kouki Fujimoto
Tanaka’s more recent full sakuga contribution was on Mob Psycho 100 where he comes right before Yutaka Nakamura
Tanaka 0:28-0:59
So its impossible for me to cover Hironori Tanaka in full. When talking about passionate animators truly the only animator that encapsulates that is TNK. He is truly one of the most enigmatic and fantastic contributors to modern sakuga. Toshiyuki Sato might be a close second, but even he dwarves Tanaka's output. Such an an important voice to sakuga, and I feel like everyone should know this man. He is one of the few animators that regularly precedes in scenes before top studio animators like Nakamura at Bones, Shida at Toei, Abe at Shaft, and so many more. I am surprised a Tanaka fan club hasn't been made similar to Kanada in terms of animation. At a lost for words, praise praise praise.
A great video from the 2013 Sakuga Panel covering Tanaka, even then they talk about how much work he's done.
YOASOBI got that motion cuz Oshi No Ko is about to pass Tokyo Ghoul for most viewed OP

from the beginning
all of the berserk animes removes important plot points from the manga and they only cover one arc
This did carry over next year onto Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Vento Aureo Episode 27, where Tanaka begins to perfect his AD

A Jojo anime lives and breathes off of strong drawings and Tanaka brings that in spades here. Though the rest of the episode is unmistakeable Jojo Tanaka’s macabre and unsettling corrections help re-contextualize the designs into more demented caricatures of the cast.
