It has the best chance of growing and getting me a lot of points out of the new anime next season in my opinion. It has an established fan base and some sort of name recognition already so word of mouth can go a long way. Sequels of long runners might be safer but their potential points are kinda capped by the fact that they're not gonna get any new watchers.

The spring season was my first time doing it, and ace was actually pretty easy. You can't ace something that has 80k+ viewers, so like halfway through the season my entire starting lineup was above the 80k mark and un-aceable, so I could basically just sub in a bench anime and ace it. Since the one show is the only eligible anime in your lineup, you're guaranteed to correctly "predict" what eligible show in your starting lineup will score the most points that week.

How'd you end up doing last season? I can't really tell how many people participate but it seems like around 500 at the very least.

There's still like 2 weeks left and I have an extra ace leftover, so I might be able to climb into the top 750 depending on who else has aces. Also, if the 1000 mark is top 2%, then I guess that means around 50,000 people participated this season.

Amount of people watching
Amount of discussion on the forums
MAL Rating
Amount of favourites

They also lose points for amount of people who dropped it.
