I'll still watch it for Saito and FukushiP though. Lots of old faces connected to Fukushi on the main staff list so far, but that's kinda expected considering using his connections to gather staff members for the show is kinda his job.

Director Saito previously did direction for individual episodes of Sonny Boy, Boogiepop, and the ACCA-13 movie. Now he gets to direct a full series for Fukushi.

Suzuki is attached to the hip with Fukushi because like half of Fukushi's produced shows have series composition done by Suzuki (OPM, ACCA-13, Boogiepop)

Reiko has earned Fukushi's trust over the years as she grinded her way up from doing in-betweens on OPM, to key animation on ACCA-13 and Boogiepop, to animation direction on individual episodes of Sonny Boy, to chief animation direction for Takt Op. and now the upcoming Frieren. What a journey.

Fushihara (Sonny Boy, OPM, Boogiepop, ACCA-13) coming back as Fukushi's go-to option for DoP.

One of the worst anime ever created

Kinda knew that they were gonna do a 1hr special for the first chapter but 2hrs is wild. It’s like a somewhat standalone story, so it’s easy to do something like this but still 2hrs

Well it's two hours with the ad breaks, so closer to 1h20m I guess

Binged Oshi no Ko manga and this last chapter has got to be the worst chapter to stop a binge on holy f***

i'm guessing this is gonna cover heiter's death and frieren taking on fern as her disciple bcuz there's no need to drag out her journey with the hero party into a 2 hour special

Truly an undying classic

It did age well in the sense that just like SAO as time passes people forget how s*** it was

Really glad I stuck with Made in Abyss, for those who want to start. It doesn’t get (really) good until the hour special episode but especially the Golden City arc.

It’s really disturbingly insane, yet so interesting I can’t stop watching.

I think season 1 is incredible too

But the movie and season 2 are even better

Season 2 is probably a top 5 anime tv season I’ve ever seen

S1 got was good but the hour special about nanachi really sealed it. I thought it was a bit odd bc I didn’t know where the anime would land but that curiosity led to the rest which was reallllllllllly good.

On the Faputa origin now, and it’s so f***ed up yet so good. 10/10 story

Wazukyan kinda a mystery still idk if he’s good or bad but honestly this anime blurs the line so much that I don’t think it’s as simple as “good” nor “bad” they’ve been through to much.

Reg is still probably my favorite but right behind him is irumyuii just cus it’s so f***ed what she had to go through. I understand the rage of Faputa

Also really like Vueko, even tho something seems off about her too. (Leaving Riko out because she’s the obvious MC)

but its cool Penkin is composing
