I watched it like 2 years ago, and I still think about it often. Very visceral experience with a lot of heavy themes packed into just 10 episodes. Made me cry.

Once again turning myself into an emotional wreck because I accidentally thought about the story of the most foolish traveler

hope it was the '97. still go for berserk, but now experience it by reading it

Darwin's Game is really good, not gonna lie

monster is very good but honestly you'll be hard pressed to find a series as well written and beautifully crafted as berserk.

would recommend reading berserk's manga if you enjoyed it that much since the anime only covers one part of it

Princess Tutu - 8/10

Labels carry a lot of weight, and they can be especially harmful when it comes to how children are treated by others and how children view themselves. Those labels can lead to self-fulfilling prophecies, and thus, a child's narrative has already been written. Their agency taken from them.

In a way, labels are what the characters of Princess Tutu must contend with, as a fairy tale comes to life, and the characters take on the roles required for the story. Throughout the anime, you can see the characters struggle to contend with who they are "supposed to be" and what is expected of them. Ahiru's resolve falters when she is reminded by others that she is nothing more than a clumsy duck. Rue, after being told repeatedly that she is a unlovable villain, starts to believe it and act the part. Fakir freezes at the prospect of becoming a brave knight, knowing his fate is to die.

But the thing about narratives is that they can be challenged. They can be changed. Sometimes, all you need is one person to see you in a different light for you to re-frame your narrative, and once that happens, your story is yours to create. The characters of Princess Tutu created quite a story for themselves.
