Konosuba is f***in hilarious man, i was crying when the castle Megumin had been practicing on turned out to be the Dullahanâs
Megumin is GOATed already
I just finished Welcome to the NHK. At first, I wasn't entirely convinced by the show. But by the end, I found it very interesting. It addressed some pretty poignant things about the human condition.

One of the only anime to make me feel depressed
Also the only thing close to "dark comedy" I've seen in anime
Haven't watched anything lately.
I have only seen Tengoku Daimakyou and thought that was pretty good
Any other must watch new anime recommendations from the last few seasons?

Yeah it was pretty draining watching the characters deal with their mental illnesses.

thatâs one of my favs. havenât seen any other anime that depicts mental illness so well

Went down a NEET rabbit hole the other week and watched the first episode of this show⌠and the last
That whole lifestyle is interesting (as a spectator).

Paranoia Agent
Perfect Blue
Paranoia Agent
Perfect Blue
Paranoia Agent doesnât even come close to the realism of NHK, and Perfect Blue uses it for a twist ending which doesnât give the film nearly enough time to explore the theme. imo of course. i did enjoy both of those though, Kon is great

Paranoia Agent has its bizarre moments but think about schizophrenic manic people, they probably see things as such.
Both have a major theme of repression, which I think is a huge mental problem a lot of people donât even see as an issue.
From what I saw of NHK though, they did do a good job of portraying that lifestyle

yeah i almost said âand isnât PA moreso about repressionâ but then figured repression negatively impacts the psyche so itâs all connected anyways.
yeah the cool thing about NHK is it portrays multiple types of mental illness. the MC is a NEET but the main chick is something else entirely. and his buddy who lives beside him has his own issues too.

Check out Watamote for a real good one about anxiety/social anxiety if you haven't. It's a more comedic take.
Unfortunately the Welcome to the NHK anime is censored (it's still awesome). He's smoking an undisclosed d*** which leads to his hallucinations and increased paranoia in the novel.
Ended up starting Monster
Very nice
I want to find more serious anime like this - less childish acts

From what Iâve heard, the manga makes her a lot more unlikeable and twisted
