Throughout the show so many key episodes have been contenders for best sakuga moments of the year(s), the All Might Nomu fight on Episode 11 of Season 1, some of the training arc episodes of Season 2 of course leading up to Episode 23 with Deku and Todoroki’s fight, the opening half of season 3, every battle scene in the movies and so many more. One constant animator who has brought some of the most spectacular moments of the shows and movies has of course been Bones super weapon Yutaka Nakamura. What more is there to say?

Nakamura of course is not the only standout animator (along with Norimitsu Suzuki and Hayashi) as all of the new talent brought on were trying to make a name for themselves. Hakuyu Go, Naoki Miyajima, Yuuta Kiso, Itsuki Tsuchigami, Kenta Yokoya, Keiichiro Honjo, and many more.

Between his time on My Hero Umakoshi was doing brief KA on the side doing work at Toei mainly. His first effort was a brief part on Tiger Mask W then an impressive scene on Dragon Ball: Z who along with Naotoshi Shida, Chikashi Kubota, Yuki Hayashi, and Ken Otsuka all made one hell of a finale

Over at One Piece, Yagamine had been taking heavy influence from Umakoshi for many sequences in the show with a prevalent use of the Umakoshi Eyes all over the series most triumphant arc on Wano Country as seen in OP22 and many other episodes.

Umakoshi actually assisted on OP22 sakugabooru.com/post/show/82116 , and the We are One special sakugabooru.com/post/show/163656\. He also did a scene on Film: Red which to me felt like he did to see if he still was good at sakuga, thankfully he is sakugabooru.com/post/show/222294.

That’s basically all of Umakoshi. Really and truly and unsung goat of the industry, and one of the sharpest designers in the game. From the 90s onward he really perfected an array of different philosophies, from shoujo, to seinen, to shonen nothing was out of Umakoshi’s ball park. The sleekness of his original designs on Precure and Casshern are just as perfunctory as the ones he had on Berserk and later on Mushishi and My Hero. God bless Umakoshi, and Umakoshi Eye supremacy!!!

just finished Konosuba s1, this show is actually so much better than i thought it would be funniest s*** i’ve seen in a while

love every single character, even Yun Yun who was introduced in the last episode. my favs are definitely Megumin and Aqua. almost every scene with either of them is hilarious

the animation is surprisingly nice for a show like this, got me enjoying the rare action scenes too. can’t wait to watch s2 and the Megumin spin off
