100 gfs might be the most soulful adaptation i have seen in literally years

i respect the attempt at interesting camerawork on overtakes last episode. The ingredients were there, but i think it could have been polished a little bit. Just way too many cuts too quickly during the first half of the race. The camerawork from 18:01 to 19:19 was way better than the other scenes and more in line of what i was looking for. Even a middle ground between the long tracking shots of that section and the super quick cuts of the first part of the race would be perfect. The attempt falls short of shows like Kouya no Kotobuki or the Girls und Panzer series, but at least that final episode was ambitious enough for me to even think about comparing them. A show aiming high and falling short is infinitely more respectable than a show passing because it aimed low

Levi having the same voice actor as Araragi and Ataru is giving me a hard time to take him serious

My main nitpick about Fruits Basket is some of these characters are obviously gay but the plot pretends they’re straight

think i said this before itt but its kinda surreal seeing some recent mangas come to an end as of late. i just saw news of another manga i followed (batuque) is coming to an end in like two chapters. gone are the days of mangas lasting decades it seems

on the bright side i can finally put these as completed on anilist and wont have like 20 mangas i need to catch up on finally
