I read this. It's dumb fun for a prnhwa but by the end it self nuked in the most over the top sense, think comically bad rather than upsetting (still disappoint ofc)

Still beats some of the stuff I've read. Prnhwa writers seriously can't write but the problem I really believe is when there was an attempt at writing. Honestly making prnhwas already self explains why they not having a go at mainstream stuff

Talking about s***ty anime/manga Overlord gotta be my favorite modern isekai.

The German dub protagonist throws around absolute bonkers of bizarro "how you doing fellow kids" nonsense memes and most ridiculous german phrases.

its like the Ghost Hunters english dub but only the protagonist decided to be unhinged in every scene. And given how Overlord aint the best anime anyways and it fits the story its one of the few times where I would consider a dub actually better than the OG

Actually fine with Overlord being a budget anime. It dont need all that its enjoyable just from a pure comedy nonsense type of story. If they give all the juice to Frieren Im cool with that cause Overlord is fine just the way it is imo

pretty inspired direction in ep 2. the usage of mirrors/reflections was very good. wish every anime would care this much about its visual

at the 3 episode premiere they played a short interview with the va's, tatsu and yamashiro and in that video yamashiro showed a binder that he's had since hs full of his drawings of different scenes from movies and shows that he thought were visually interesting. one of the scenes he talked about in particular was a scene from child's play where the background is broken up by a knife and in the knife you see chucky's reflection. this binder had a ton of pages and each page had several story boards like that on it. he's built different. you can probably find a phone recording of that interview somewhere if you wanna hear it in his own words
