I picked that up when it started off the fujimoto rec. I got about ten in but the plot was incomprehensible for me art was pretty cool tho. s*** felt weird for weirdness’ sake. Is it worth picking back up?

its weird and it only gets weirder so if that put you off then dont bother with it

But back to Kemono Jihen. it felt like a very generic supernatural shounen. The characters weren’t very interesting and the fight scenes were bland. If you ask me there’s better shows out there with a similar premise.

Thoughts on Ghost in the Shell? Interested in reading it, don’t know if the anime’s good too

The manga is quite different from the anime. Its much more of a crime/detective manga with cyberpunk aesthetic than the phylosophical dysthopia that oshii's ghost in the shell is. It has cool art and a surprisingly deep lore though that's presented through descriptions and such. I'd say read it only if you f*** with the cyberpunk aesthetic. Its also pretty short so it wouldnt even be too demanding of a read.
I've only watched ghost in the shell 1 and 2 so i cant speak on the anime

Me too lmao, but im taking it slow otherwise i wouldnt enjoy what im reading/watching, and its also less stressful. Manga and anime are going nowhere lol

That’s so true, the fact I’m not a big fan of reading scans also doesn’t help I always gotta cop the manga

I can relate so much to this, i started with scans but when i tried reading physical manga i couldnt go back, especially for the niche manga that got trash scans. Seeing great art on paper hits different

Too bad it can become an expensive hobby and some volumes are hard to find so i cant binge series

I don’t think there’s a better feeling than owning an entire serie

the movie is amazing and stand alone complex is great one of my fav animes

yeah the characters are pretty good in both imo major's prolly my fav female protagonist in anime in general

the movie might be a lil confusing at first cause it's a lot going on but i think it shines the most on character development with major questioning her identity and how different life would be if she was human. the animations amazing as well of course
