I know I'm probably gonna get some heat for this but I need to rant, One Piece's pacing in the early anime is f***ing ASS

I swear Luffy's just been talking about beating Crocodile's ass for like 20 episodes and at least 10 episodes crossing this f***ing desert just for him to get captured the moment he gets there

Show is cool I just feel like it takes 20 years for s*** to actually happen, I can't even remember the last big fight except for Arlong Park and that was damn near almost a 100 episodes ago, and that was with me SKIPPING filler

Is the rest of the show like this? Bc I'm really losing interest fast

What other major mangas are there? I’ve been out the loop but it seems like there’s no more next big things. Chainsaw man got crazy hype but ended quick. I just don’t see any upcoming manga that’ll be cult status

jujutsu kaisen like the ppl before me said

there's black clover, monster no. 8, Dr. Stone, Mashle, Choujin X by Sui Ishida....a few jump series on the rise like Red Hood and Neru

there's also the seinen scene that has seen a few hits lately

plus, when naruto was ongoing there was literaly nothing...mha became a hit like a year later

so yeah, my faith is still strong on new series

Kaiju no 8 is niche, possibly can be big with the anime but idk. Mashle seems gintama esque to me, black clover will never be on the tier that im talking about, same with dr stone. Read a chapter of Choujin x and just don’t see it exploding like that.

I knew MHA would be a hit as soon as it came out. Jujutsu kaisen seems like the only major major one rn, but guess it depends on the anime’s. I never expected AOT to resonate so much with the west when I first read it so should be interesting.
