Thoughts on One Piece post Dressrosa ? Idk if I have the courage

no cap but the one piece anime right now is the best it's ever been

like i envy anime onlys....the animation and artstyle is SO clean

as for the 2 arcs inbetween dresrossa and the current arc they're an upgrade from dresrossa pacing wise but your enjoyment of them depends on your investment to the story and characters

I talked to anime watchers and it seems like they prefer the newer arcs

Like any time I ask a fangirl they say their fav characters are Ace, Law, Sabo, Marco, Kid basically any cool guy who's not a part of the main crew and I think that's funny because after reading the manga none of these characters had a lot of impression on me (except Law)

It's probably because they watched these episodes in real time and had a lot of time to sit with them compared to just binge reading or watching it

I don't really feel the same way about Nighteye. We got way more time with him and knew more about him to begin with before he died. With the #1 American Hero there was legit nothing but a tiny flashback mid fight with Shigaraki

Shigaraki is somehow one of the only characters I care about. I guess MVA did its thing because he looked really cool at the end there

my fav character has always been luffy but i get why someone's fav character would be someone not shown in 90% of 1000 episodes like the straw hat crew and the characters you mentioned like law and ace benefit a lot off flashbacks and drama while sabo and kid are just cool af

about binge reading...there's so much of one piece that even taking a one month break from it can give you enough stuff to binge read in a day and honestly the only ones that keep up with one piece every week for years are either content creators or hardcore fans that only f*** with one piece

hanamonogatari sounds like it’s gonna be my fav, sugura by far my fav character by a landslide

Even if you watch One Piece on and off but caught up to it like 5 years ago, you are in touch with the discussion and community or even if you’re watching alone you’re invested in this new arc

I feel like that’s why a lot of fans fav arcs are actually Dressrosa. Whole Cake, Wano, even Marineford to an extend but maybe it’s also because of all the lore
