watched it randomly too, I've watched 90% of his works and didnt feel like rewatching PA yet so I said what about that one movie Perfect Blue? lol

second half? f***ing amazing, a true masterpiece

Yeah, kon is great at confusing the viewer, it always comes together at the end perfectly too. The fact you can never know what's happening on screen adds so much tension, it keeps you anxious throughout the entire movie. You dont know whats real and what isnt until the end, and i love that feeling, especially the rape scene was terrifying because you couldnt tell if it was reality or imagination

what really made me trip was switching between the acting takes to the real life murder scenes and then her waking up to her apartment

that f***ed me up, not cause it was graphic but cause I was ''afraid'' by the end we wouldnt know what's real or not and it'd be one of those open-ended movies

same thing with a lot of other stuff in the movie, I kept checking the time count cause I was ''afraid'' of that uncertainty.
