It’s always been an odd stereotype? Idk the exact word for when characters that are underaged in shows are sexualized. I mean only equivalent could be euphoria with them being high schoolers, but obviously the actors are adults and not loli characters designed to look like actual young and underaged girls

I think we should all be able to confidently take a stance that loli and loli lovers are weirdos that should be put on a list and really shouldn’t get sexualized in anime

they're not sexualized as objects of desire for the audience....that's my point.....they're not like nami and robin from one piece which are adults for adults

from the shows ive seen in romantic comedies or dramas, 99% of young girls are desired by people their age to later serve as a part of the story...whether that's to make fun of as embarassing sexual frustration or teenage youth drama

and I see nothing wrong with that...it's normal for young people to be interested in young people.....now, anything beyond that age boundary is unacceptable and should be on way more than a list

there's a normal illustration of that and then you have the more raunchy, fanservice kind of rom coms that are going of their way to make ass shots and titty shots, or put characters in scantily clad clothing

We all know what their doing there, and when you have shows that go and use that on underaged characters it's just weird

It's a difference in a show having innocent haha moments between two love interests characters versus when you have shows that are going out of their way to flaunt these young characters bodies and s***, and those are the shows i'm talking about

well, if they go out of their way to do that then everything that could be good about these shows gets sidelined (plot, character development, even character design ironically) so most of em end up being worthless one season shows with only a creepy following so the loss is theirs

what's worse tho is unfortunately a lot of people encourage that in more mainstream shows to the point where the creators believe it's mandatory for success when its actually cringey

but still, that's fanservice in general, I dont recall watching anything with even high schoolers that made me feel uncomfortable in recent memory so I dont think the industry suffers from it.....quite the opposite.

i get what you mean. tbh fan service is almost never necessary in anime.. and defending that type of s*** just makes you look crazy. much better to just be like “yeah I know this s*** is problematic but I still watch it cause I can separate anime from reality ” instead of trying to explain why panty and tittle shots of a character who looks like she’s 6 years old w double e breasts is ok.
